Atomic mutants, zombie plagues, alien overlords, cannibals and brutal contests – we can imagine some very dystopian futures. I hadn’t heard of ‘Purging’ in an apocalyptic context before. It’s a short window in which violent crime goes unpunished. But a Purge could never happen in our society – could it?

I’m very pessimistic about the future.
Our leaders are becoming increasingly selfish, corrupt, and unaccountable, while people—especially young people—are less engaged with politics.

Hi Isla,
Thanks for your comment. I know with FA you have to ‘live in the moment’, otherwise it gets too much. But to be in the moment, you have to stop and look around. Especially as a dad, I am worried about the future. I think it will get better, but it wont be our generation that change the world.
